The Fern is designed by world-renowned garden designer Joe Francis and
featured as the main focal point of his award-winning show garden
“Calm Amidst Chaos”, which won the Silver-Gilt medal at RHS Hampton Court Garden Festival 2019.
“The response to The Fern has blown me away,” says Joe, “I wanted to design a seat that helped people to connect with nature, as well as to connect with that deeper sense of peace we all have within us. The reaction from everyone who sits in it has been incredible. The process of developing the design has been challenging yet hugely rewarding, and I feel honoured to be able to make it available for others to enjoy.”

such as the frame colour, the wood used for the leaves and the types of fixings on the back. We even supply cork feet for the base should you wish to position them indoors.

The first, flagship Fern went to Maytree house, which provides a sanctuary for people in a suicidal crisis. The next Fern is going to The Mulberrybush School - a school for children who have experienced extreme trauma.
A portion of each sale goes to supporting the Eliminating Loneliness project.
Eliminating Loneliness is the next show garden designed by Joe and is a blueprint for creating a ‘green hub’ for local communities. The concept being that by creating a place where people can come together through the common theme of gardens, people will feel less isolated and alone - something that too many of us experience in this day and age.
